Default Blinding Lights- The Weekend

Hello, this has been on my mind for a while now and for some reason I really wanted to find the answer to this question. So I went on google and looked where I can ask these kinds of questions and found this place. Hopefully I can get an answer. In the very beginning of Blinding Lights there is what seems to be a baseline. Now I’m not sure what this is exactly. Is it a bass guitar? A horn? I really want to know so I can implement it into my own music. Can someone please tell me more about this part and where I can find other example. This is the power of goosebumps lol. Thanks

It's a snare and bass drum, probably an electronic kit. Very similar to A-Ha's Take On Me, but without the 16th note fills.

No before the drum and snare. If u listen to the version on Spotify or Apple Music u can hear a very deep bass with what sounds like horns that are filtered in and out.

It’s also on YouTube if you look up the official audio.

Thats the one I was going by. It doesn't sound like a bass guitar, unless they've oversaturated it with effects. It sounds like a few synth patches. That's all I can help with it.

Good luck in your search.
