Never heard these guys until random dial twisting while driving to town had me spellbound. Perfect music for driving was my first thought. Not so mad on the lead singers falsetto and the drummer can get a bit monotonous but hey, that’s really nitpicking when you can just settle back and go with their stuff so easily.

I quite liked the video, Ayn: a road trip with a classic car in attractive country that I don't recognise. Difficult to mess that up even if those guys do have some secret agenda going on.

The song has a great lead in. I liked it a lot, although at the start I was expecting it to turn into the Peggy Lee song of the same name. In fact, I wish they had sung a bit of Peggy Lee's as well. IMO that would've made a good song even better, but as it was, I was left with a nagging doubt about if there are any musical similarities between the two songs. For anyone who had the same reaction, have a listen and please let me know as I am terrible at identifying those kinds of similarities/differences :-

As for road pop, I used to love Golden Earring's big hit, and have since come across an even better cover version of Radar Love. This is out and out rock, not pop, so it's your chance for revenge, Ayn: berate me all you want for putting the wrong song of the wrong genre in the wrong thread.

I’m really coming to hate these puzzles of where to put a song.

Yes, I heard it too although this version jams more notes into the melody line. Today’s obsession with copyright has only been with us for a few centuries.
Several centuries ago if a composer regurgitated another’s melody line it would be taken as a compliment, not theft. Never mind, keeps a hoard of copyright lawyers in caviar.

Glad you liked it, Ayn ! Sorry, I don't know anything about the band, or what they have/haven't done in the studio.

You sweet, old fashioned thing. I can’t brag about changing gears, I don’t have any in my little battery powered bomb but it can knock your head off doing 0 - 100kmh in 40 secs.
Can’t use the E-TRON GT all the time though as my dogs don’t fit in the back and it’s a bit rough on some of the crappy country roads around here. Magic though for picking up a certain kind of hitchhiker.
