80's synth pop song.
 

I am looking for the title of a synth song from the early to late 80s, it's by a male band and the style is very much similar to Bronski Beat or OMD or similar bands and I remember parts of the lyrics like 'striking when the iron's hot' 'waiting for your voice to command' 'come back into my life, i need you in my life/can't you see i'm right, come back'. I remember listening to it along while back but don't remember the title, I seem to maybe 'make your choice' being a lyric in the song and I seem to think it was China Crisis singing it

I feel this may be maybe Erasure or Dead or Alive. I'll have a nose around when I have some time; in the meantime you could look into those two.

I think Erasure might have had a line like Striking while the iron's hot. You might also want to check out Yazoo (or Yaz for short)

I am pretty sure it sounded like Mike and the Mechanics or Bronski Beat, I had it one of my compliation albums I made.

Dead or Alive?

How in the name of Satan's portion could Mike + The Mechanics sound like Bronskibeat? The two don't sound anything the same.
