wow, i'm surprised this was the only thread on these guys

but yeah, i just got John Barleycorn Must Die, along with The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys, listening to the latter atm, and i really love their instrumentation and song structure. also the atmospheric feel of their music isn't one to be taken lightly.

Dear Mr. Fantasy... effin' classic.

They are an acquired taste. I'm still working on acquiring it, honestly. I have Mr. Fantasy (only played once so far), John Barleycorn Must Die, and The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys.

One of the best jazz-rock groups of all time. :thumb:

Steve Winwood has such an original refreshing voice and its really quite high for a man. I too, love Dear Mr. Fantasy and it is my favorite of theirs. Those big deep guitar notes thrown in with Steve's high voice just mingle together perfectly.

Traffic self-titled is also unbelievably good. Pearly Queen is my favorite. If you like them, are you into Blind Faith?

Barleycorn, Low Spark, Shootout, etc.. Great albums.

They tend to get overlooked, but Winwood was a great vocalist and organ player, and Chris Wood provided some of the best flute parts this side of Tull. Feelin Alright, 40 Thousand Headmen, Medicated Goo, Rainmaker are some their many cool songs.

Great band just discovered them lately and really digging them aside from the songs already mentioned I also love "Hole In My Shoe"

Solid band, for one of the most mainstream bands among their peers they sure don't get talked about much.

Traffic

Oddly, have been listening to Traffic lately and watched Eric Clapton and Stevie Winwood Life At Madison Square Gardon (spelled out for anyone outside U.S.) just the other night (weird)! Stevie Winwood's just amazing, both keyboards and guitar. Anyone who's willing to play guitar onstage with Eric Clapton's incredible! Nice to see them reunite from time together in Blind Faith and in show it looks like they're truly enjoying themselves and in short interview clips it's nice to hear how much they admire each others' work. Pro's.:thumb:

Sending you clips of Dear Mr. Fantasy (favorite Traffic song) from MSG and a "from the vault" concert. Love Pearly Queen too.

I'll have to go with The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys, even though Dave Mason was split then. Dave Mason's is favorite version of Feelin' Alight.
