To be frank, though, a good bit of it is several shades too inaccessible. I just wish he could deliver another seminal album like Crime Slunk Scene.

What albums would you suggest to listen to, RezZ?

All four of these are beautiful albums. Electric Tears and Acoustic Shards are serene and will make you tear up, while the other two are just plain out ****ing cool. None of these I would considered overproduced by any means.

Thanks for the advice. I found 'em all okay, so I guess "they're pretty good" is the general consensus.

I'm a huge fun of Buckethead. He's easily my favourite guitarist. Electric Tears is probably my favourite album, although I like pretty much all of his albums.

I thought Acoustic Shards was very good until about 10-15 minutes in when it disintegrated into him just wanking on guitar. I listened to it all the way through but the rest of it seemed so boring. Hopefully the others will be okay.

If you're not a fan of the wankery, then you should definetly try Electric Tears.

Population Override is fantastic, I didn't think I would enjoy a pure instrumental guitar album so much, but he brings alot to the table besides wankery.

I don;t believe there is any wankery in any of it. Just drum, guitar, and keyboard solos.

And to be honest, what many of you call wankery from Buckethead, I feel is the speed of wankery but if listened to closed sounds nothing like wankery at all.

No, I agree with you, fast guitar work does not equate wankery. I had avoided listening to him before because of some preconceived notion that I picked up in a different forum. I'm definitely going to check out some of his other stuff.
