Where to find Psychedelic Rock in NYC?
 

I have just moved to NYC where do i find places playing Psychedelic Rock

Under the el tracks in the Bronx.

The guy who lived next door to me was a bit of a hippy, he loved that shit.

I don't know where he lives now though. Sorry.

Well, there's a few NYC-based bands that I would recommend.

Orthrelm

I'm not sure how often they play around the city, but they're definitely worth seeing.

In all seriousness, I'd recommend checking out the music listings in the Village Voice or the NYC edition of the Onion. Both are free and if you start reading them every week you'll being to get a sense of where to find the kinds of music that interest you.

Our Bio:

Formed in October 2012 from a chance encounter in Craig's list, HIGH NORTH is an instrumental rock band combining hypnotic soundscapes & epic riffs. We are a trio of Guitar, Drums, Bass / Chapman Stick. We also use tons of pedals and effects to create out of this world sounds. 1/3 composition, 1/3 jam & 1/3 stream of consciousness. Psychedelic, space, fusion & progressive influences. We use projections on stage and often go off on musical tangents. Our music transitions between cinematic & dreamy to exploding walls of sound with a good dose of alien infused madness. Every show is different as we feed off the energy of the audience and the environment. Our chemistry on stage is undeniable as we are always able to dig deep and venture into unexpected musical landscapes.
