Default Transatlantic:-Kaleidoscope

Hi, i'm new to this site so please bear with me.
Up until now Transatlantic wasn't on my radar, i purchased the cd at the weekend after read a review on another blog.
I do like to take a punt on other like minded peoples recommendations, usually i'll take a look on You Tube to get a feel for
the so called recommended album, this one i didn't, i brought it blind.
Well all i can say is thank you for the nudge and i'm glad i purchased it.
Usually i'll play a new disc as back ground music whilst doing the chores, but this one made me sit down and listen properly.
What an album, my ways of describing music is not what you see in these mags/sites,(half the time i don't think the reviewer
knows what the words mean they are just fashionable)
I go by the 5 rules if it (1) makes me sit and listen,(2) makes my feet tap(3) makes my head bob (4) i play it again and again and (5) not loose it
on the cd rack it's good.
It took me back to early Yes, Floyd, Genesis to name just a few.
If you haven't listened to it yet, then put it on your list.
Now to look out there other albums.

Transatlantic is a side project by Pete Trewavas, bass player with Marillion. I've listened to some of their stuff. Have to say I wasn't blown away but when I saw they had a new one out I bought it. It's in my shopping cart so I must go ahead now and finalise the purchase and see if it's as good as you say. If so then it's probably going to get a review in my journal.

By the way, I'm sure you don't know me so didn't direct your comments at me, but I don't put anything in my reviews just to be "fashionable" (how can prog be seen as fashionable anyway?) --- everything I write is from the heart and meant to convey the best sense of the album or artiste that I can. I think you'll find, especially if you read the journals here, that most if not all of us subscribe to the same method. No hipsters writing here!

Welcome!
