I never really got into this band a couple years ago when I checked out their stuff out (along with some stuff by Defiance, Ohio).
However, I'm down in Pensacola, Florida, and a couple days ago went to a vegan restaurant called Sluggo's, and the owner is Terry, the bass player/vocalist, from this band.
What a weird coincidence/experience.
I bought Front Seat Solidarity from her and all of the songs are very catchy and positive, perfect folk-punk IMO.
Terry's also a very hospitable person and makes some excellent southern food, for future reference.
Definitely recommend listening to some music from this band.
As a bonus, they're all very into what they do and say, it's good to see.

I hate you. I'd love to see Defiance, Ohio and TBIAPB is pretty good too. And what if they aren't listing them to be smart? What if they just like some obscure bands? I'll add anything to my library if I think it's good and if people are recommending similar type bands I'll throw it in there... But I think it's stupid to listen to music so people will think you're smart or cool because you found a new band that no one knows about or any sort of reason like that. I personally just love talking about music and will tell people about any band, no matter how obscure.

Hey, Trauma, I agree with you that This Bike is a Pipe Bomb's songs are catchy and upbeat (based on the 4 they have posted on MySpace). I was surprised to hear how short the songs are...none over 2:30 minutes! What luck you had to eat at a vegan restaurant owned by Terry so that you a personal connection with a band member. That must have been fun and I imagine would make their music more meaningful.
