The ramones are one of the greatest punk bands ever and most people/bands learned to play off there simple guitaring.Tommy left the band to do some record stuff..Then they picked up marky and later when dee dee left to his own solo stuff they picked up Cjay.They released there self titled album on sire which is an awesome example of raw punk..for the time.If your gonna get a ramones album i suggest ramones mania its got all the main classics and such.The ramones kick ass and will always been remembered as rock and roll legends...

Their box set is going to be released this Tuesday, August 16th.

I love the Ramones. Besides the recommendations up there, I would add "The Crusher" and "Wart Hog" those are sweet songs.

wart hog is probably my favorite, and one of their least popular songs...

psycho therapy is another good one that isnt on the list.

The only reason I love the Ramones so much is because of all of the bands they influenced. And what they did for the whole punk scene Without the Ramones, I don't know what kind of music would be out there..

I still can't believe that AVRIL LAVIGNE--"hardcore punk chick" *sarcasm*--doesn't even know who the Ramones are!

I liked all theyre original songs the best. My favorite has always been We're A Happy Family cause I thought that was theyre only really punk song when I first started listening to them. The later stuff is still great too and Joey's solo stuff because it sounds exactly the same.

Has anyone heard of Sibling Rivalry, The Ramainz, Dee Dee & the Chinese Dragons, or Dee Dee & ICLC? Sibling Rivalry is Joey and his real bro and Raminz is Marky, Dee Dee & his wife.

I can't find Chinese Dragons or ICLC anywhere! And Dee Dee King costs over 30 ****in bucks. What the hell!! anyone know where I can find these?:confused:

Is it just me, or does the singer of this band have a really annoying singing voice??

i dont think hes doing much singing nowdays...

yea none of them do much of anything nowadays, well except for marky and CJ

and if you didnt know joey ramone is dead.

To everyone that say The ramones are ugly.. I personally think that they are actaully sweet. You have to think about theyre glue addiction and drug addictions and that joey actually got a sickness wich makes him look like he look. I like "Don't worry about me" where Joey solo's after the split it's a really sad and beautiful song. His voice is DA BOMB!
