I grew up with them. Chershire Cat, Dude Ranch, Enema all pretty juvenile like me in my teens, then they started to become more musical and care more for the lyrics and musical content, just as my music taste began to grow up, they grew up too. I loved them in the olden days when they didn't take themselves too seriously and stayed fun, and I still enjoy them now that they are more grown up. Altho Angels and Airwaves very over rated. Can't wait to hear more of Plus 44, Mark will always be god to me.

Good live band...**** any other time/
|
Check out this new bit of music classification tech. Pop-punk. Its a style of pop music that draws influence from punk genres. I think they fall somewhere in there.
I dislike them, but I could understand the appeal. |
I went through a little "I'm so punk" phase my freshman year of high school. Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, Blink 182.........I'm glad I got over that.
So at one point I loved them, still enjoy them, and +44 is the dumbest **** ever. |
Gah, I wish people would quit choosing to bump the oldest possible blink threads they can find.
Anyway one of my favorite bands ever minus their last album. |
Why do ppl say they 'loved them when they were younger but now hate them'? If you enjoyed their music then, whats changed? Just because you might meet a new group of friends who say Blink 182 are rubbish, doesn't mean you have to change your mind. If you like them, you like them. Same goes for any other band, who is anyone else to dictate it to you??
We're supposed to be 'alternative' and 'rebellious' I'm not following anyone else. xxx |
^Because I found better stuff. Me freshman year of highschool I was listening to the radio and liking what they said was good just so I could be "cool". By my junior year I was looking to find my own stuff-the **** they dont play on the radios, and understanding it was technically better then Blink 182. Plus I also heard mass amounts of metal my junior year and every and all "pop-punk" pale in comparison to epic and melodic metal. Its not that my friends said they were dumb or anything, I never said that at all.

i still like um *hides*

Aha I see where you're coming from.
Being The Unfan, when you don't like bands, it really means you do. So you doubly like Blink. |

An anime is based on one and not the other.

It's just sad that the ashes of blink comes Angels In Airwaves and +44, What the hell is up with that. Blink was better than both of those bands combined.
|
how can a cat so small...take up so much chair....? Its one of Lifes great mysteries.

i love how tom said he wanted them to sound like quicksand on their s/t album. yeah, um not at all.
|
How is Angels and Airwaves still together?
Is he just in two bands now? |
pop-punk perhaps, or maybe just rock.
from a hardcore punk perspective, i don't think theyre punk at all. from a grunge punk? same thought. from a bubblegummy punk or pop punk or anything else.. i think they don't really fit in one specific place. I like them though. they can seem a little repetitive at times, but *shrug* i deal with it |
