Also, someone forgot to mention the dude from The Exploited.

To be fair The Exploited have never really been taken seriously as a major band in the Punk movement, although they were the first Punk band I got into and I enjoy blasting them out now and again.

But then he made 'A Good Heart' and pissed all over John Peel's favourite ever track.

ADELE 09-13-2008 01:35 PM

ha ha.
yeah, he ruined that song.
but here comes the summer and my perfect cousin are good songs.
Also, he didn't sing about the troubles been from NI at the time but sang tuneful punk stuff.
Not the best but certainly a good one.
I'd go for Strummer or Rotten but I guess you probably already know that.

I did remember The Expolited

That's why they're not on the poll

good one!
They seemed to be just loud without much else.
But I haven't heard alot of their songs so I can't judge to harshly.
I tell you Jimmy Pursy was a good live front man with sham 69...honestly he was.

jacklovezhimself 09-14-2008 12:09 AM

why do people keep talking about the ****ing exploited?
honestly?

FireInCairo 09-14-2008 12:11 AM

agreed

sweet_nothing 09-14-2008 12:55 AM

I voted Iggy Pop in the end, but I almost voted Stiv Bators. I saw a Dead Boys video of Sonic Reducer, and he was great, lots of energy, and when he took off his jacket he had these gross hamburgers stuck to his shirt, reminded me a bit of The Damned.

And even though he wasnt technically a frontman, "Captain Sensible" should get an Honorable Mention.
