Okay, Guns of Brixton is awesome and one of their best songs. That's definitely not part of the album's filler. It's in the top three songs of the album IMO with the title track and Spanish Bombs.

OMG how the **** why? Those vocals are an insomnia cure, and two songs after "Supermarket", an actual clever social commentary, "Guns of Brixton"'s message is so basic and cringe inducing that it's embarrassing. Oh and forget that it was written by The Clash and it becomes an NRA anthem.

My top three favorite tracks are Guns of Brixton, The Call Up and Police on my Back, which was written by Eddie Grant (Electric Avenue) when he was with the Equals.

Guns of Brixton

The Call Up

The Equals - Police On My Back

If we're going top three Clash songs and not just the three best on London Calling, I'd have London Calling no. 1 and Remote Control and Spanish Bombs rounding out the top three.

And BTW, the only thing that would make the US version of The Clash in any way more desirable than the UK version is that it has "Clash City Rockers". As I'm not a vinyl collector I'm kind of glad that single releases aren't a thing anymore, cause **** not getting such awesome songs on the actual album.

I haven't heard much of Clash's music but his album Calling London is neat.

Apart from the London Calling title track I´ve heard almost nothing by The Clash, but Joe Strummer made some great albums with The Mescaleros. Just say the word and I'll necro-bump a thread about one...

I went with London Calling. The other ones are good but London Calling stands out like a sore thumb to me.
