sorry homie, you have misinformation. ska pre-dates reggae by decades. the jamicans in the mid 60's were slowly getting tired of the beat and tempo of <B>SKA</B> and alas, reggae was born.

I should have said from the same genre pool but it was'nt decades before Reggae, roughly about fifteen years. We could argue that rocksteady was the immediate follow on from Ska. Anyhow :

---skankin pickle
falling sickness
assorted jellybeans---

are these worth checking out or are they your typical Reel Big Fish commercial pap?

nah bro, this is the real deal stuff. mid 90's, when it was still real. definately worth checking out!!!

didn't think there was such a thing as 'good' ska-punk until JH's compilation (allow RBF's cover of 'take on me'), that was alot. Sure there's linkage further up the thread?

Not checked out any bands yet but the Flaming Tsunamis are first on my hitlist

There is a Canadian band called the Flatliners that have a ska sound without the horns. It is good stuff.... well Destroy to Create is... the newer one is ****.
