Half of your beloved bands were most likely influenced by american artists. And why should we be forced to listen to something if we don't like it? Or forced to not listen to something we like a lot? This is the funniest **** ive heard all day. Are you seriously that ignorant? Looks like youve watched a little to much MTV and assume that is what American Punk is. I could name a thousand good punk bands from the US none of which have airplay. Ive been in the scene for over 15 years and think I know about its origin. Oppression? Ive been kicked out of school, work, home, even public parks for the way i dress and the beliefs i have. When youve squatted abandoned trains huddled together with 4 or 5 people trying to stay warm and always on the lookout for something to eat then bring up "oppression".
