FFS, leave thiswarisours alone already. As ****ty as you think his taste may be, that's your opinion and there's no reason that yours is any better.

I don't think its the fact that his taste is ****ty that's bothering us. Its the refusal to broaden his horizons. Even you have to agree you can't stick to one genre... and thiswarisours don't give me any of that "Oh I love all genres, ETF and Carnifex and [insert other 'scene' band here]!" I mean REALLY broaden those horizons.

No I'm pretty sure that I said I don't like Carnifex.

And broaden my horizons to what?

I bet most rock/metal genres you can name I like stuff from it.

Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, Poison, Led Zeppelin, Guns N Roses, Rise Against, The Offspring, Yngwie Malmsteen, Linkin Park, Dream Theater, Jimmy Eat World.

Can name a bunch of songs I like by all of those bands, so yeah.

Try fear before the march of flames (just "fear before" now). They are along the same lines of what you seem to like but, I think they'll really be pushing your limits. Hopefully, maybe lead you into some new genres?

EDIT: I just made fried oreos, theyre really good.

That's your opinion. I personally am not in love with NOFX or Bad Religion...

Do you expect me to say that it's my opinion every time, or can your five good neurons crank out the assumption from your crustaceous skull on your own?

...The way you stated it made it sound different.

But hey, if you understand that it's just an opinion, then that's fine. I'm not trying to create an argument.

Anyway, why isn't there a thread for Bamboozle? Is anyone going to that?

No >.<
I'm saying expand your horizons OUTSIDE the whole rock/metal scene. Hip-Hop, Electronica, Post Rock. You seem very sheltered. Which is fine and I have no problem with, but its nice to know there is a whole other world of music out their. With so much better material.

That isn't even it. What bothers me is that you (thisWARisours) keep saying that you ARE broadening your horizons to different types of music... when in reality, you're only trying to broaden your horizons for one type of music.

Then the best thing to do is recommend new artists for him to try. If he further refuses, then yes, that is close minded.
