This is the funniest **** ive heard all day. Are you seriously that ignorant? Looks like youve watched a little to much MTV and assume that is what American Punk is. I could name a thousand good punk bands from the US none of which have airplay. Ive been in the scene for over 15 years and think I know about its origin. Oppression? Ive been kicked out of school, work, home, even public parks for the way i dress and the beliefs i have. When youve squatted abandoned trains huddled together with 4 or 5 people trying to stay warm and always on the lookout for something to eat then bring up "oppression".
