Just music?

I've been seeing alot of people recently saying who cares its just music. And it just makes me laugh because music means so much to me. Its kind of sad. Maybe I need to get out more but it means the whole world to me. Music has helped me find out who I am and gotten me through all the bad times and made most of the good ones. Music just means so much more to me than something to listen to while im driving my car. Or something that can get you layed by dropping a few obscure band names. I guess Im just cusrois what music is to you. Is it just something that you listen too for fun but dont really take seriously. Is it just background noise? Is it just a way to be different and look cool? I think the main deviding line is People who listen to usic to be different and people who listen to this music because they are different. So why do yo do it.

Music is my life, and my future.

Sneer 01-29-2005 11:15 AM

i wouldnt say music is my life but its definetly a huge factor in it. its my identity and hobby.its by far my biggest interest but i just think theres also more to life.

MUSE girl 01-29-2005 11:37 AM

yeah music is kinda the biggest interest in my life but.... meh

Music is everything to me. It's something that has always been there for me to help me to get through a hard time, to vent or whatever. And no matter what, there's always a style of music or a song out there that will help me to feel better. I've been playing the piano since I was 4, and I've been singing since...wow, a long time. I have played the clarinet for 6 going on 7 years now, and I'm getting ready to take up guitar and flute. Music is one of those amazing things that I don't think I could live without. I totally agree with you All Night Dinah...music is absolutly amazing.

Music means a lot to me. I really couldn't put it into words. I've been sitting here for like ten minutes trying to. Music - my first love and something I will not forget until the day I die.

MUSE girl 01-29-2005 11:42 AM

it kinda keeps us all going.

jesus 01-29-2005 11:53 AM

and it's interesting and usually has a point, unlike a lot of stuff that is around today

I just think its awkward that some poepl dont really care for music other than background noise. Or never explore it in its entirety. Or limit there listnening paterns to a few genres. Poor saps who will never know the feeling of getting new music in the mail or buying that newest release by your favorite band and listening to it over and over. Poor kids....

Whoever posted that they can't think of what to post, i feel that. Music is a huge factor in my life, I tend to avoid doing things or going places where I can't listen to music. Music has shaped who am I today, it's always been there, and always will be.

Apparently people know me because since I first moved here, I've almost always had my headphones on, no matter where I was. My friends talk **** because my idea of having fun, is me sitting down or laying around listening to music.

To sum it up, I tell everyone I know this, and I stand by it. I would give up my sight before my hearing.

Ha ha, were such losers. I have the same problem. Last Night My friends wanted to go do something but I got some new records i havnt had the chance to listen to so I just sat around all night listening to them. Then my friends asked me what I was going to college for and I said I was planing on minoring in musical theory and they all laughed at me. I love being amusic nerd.

covle 01-31-2005 07:40 PM

Holy crap really? i dont where id be without music.

jibber 01-31-2005 07:47 PM

how can you not listen to music? that's really really bizzare. I usually fall asleep listening to music, I can't drive ANYWHERE without one of my CDs because our radio stations are crap, I always listen to music while I'm skiing, while I'm studying, at school, writing a test, pretty much all the time.

hookers with machineguns 01-31-2005 08:32 PM

a lot of my friends dont listen to much music at all. one of my ex-girlfriends used to always tell me to turn off the music when I'd be driving her around (to work, to school, to the mall, to the hair salon, to the end of the world, etc.). I'd ask her if she wanted me to put on something else, then she'd reply "No. I can't think with music playing." So I was like, "Oh-kay..." This is still better than college keggers, because I have yet to go to a college party where they are actually playing decent music.

jibber 01-31-2005 10:22 PM

nobody ever plays decent music at parties, because they want to put on music that you can dance to do see drunk girls pull of some slutty dance moves. And on a side note, what did she have to think so hard about while you were driving her somewhere? And why wasn't she able to think and listen to music at the same time? maybe she wasn't the brightest crayon in the box.

hookers with machineguns 01-31-2005 10:32 PM

no she wasnt. her favorite line, "what's that supposed to mean?" I swear she said that after everything i said. i was a dumbarse for going out with her. i was 16, young and hungry.
regardless, i usually like to play my music loud when im on the road (it keeps me in check, so many bad drivers). lots of people always turn down the music though, that pisses me off.

jibber 01-31-2005 10:35 PM

hahaha, I always laugh so hard when my friends date really stupid girls (or guys if they're girls). Also, loud music is absolutely ESSENTIAL when driving home early in the morning after not sleeping all night.

All_Nite_Dinah 02-01-2005 09:01 AM

Ha ha, yes I know what you mean. I've spent many nights in my car at 3 am driving with my stereo wall the way up and my windows all the way down in 20 degrees temperatures in an effort to stay awake. Its especially fun to do when you come home from a concert all tired out from dancing all night, at least then you might have a new cd to pop in.
