He is a musical genius, I mean if you look at any Streetlight Manifesto lyrics, they're amazing, it's like a poem.
For Example: In "Here's To Life" there is a few lines of his pure genius.
"so he aimed the shotgun into the blue, placed his face in between the two, and sighed here's to life"
And in his song Down, Down, Down to Mephisto's Cafe (Mephistopheles is one of the seven princes of Hell) he sings "Way back when the prophecies began
Do you think they really had a master plan
Or were they merely writing fables, stories?
I don't know but it has occurred to me
The punishment that they threaten constantly
It's only real if they could just convince me" Pure Genius , He is my hero
Thoughts?

I like Streetlight Manifesto and I agree... their lyrics have always been pretty interesting.

wouldn't say those sound genius... isn't Streetlight Manifesto a ska band anyway?

You can't really categorize them. I mean everyone calls them ska but even Tomas says they're more of a punk rock band. Just because they have a horn section doesn't mean they have to be ska. It's also where i categorize them.
