Unhappy I Need Some Advice

My band needs some help. We are beginning to write songs but none of us have ever really done that before. I've written a bunch of songs but I don't know how I should even start to write the music for it. Our bassist is just a beginner and she will not be of much assistance and the drummer dosen't really know much (she knows a little) about guitar. So if anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated! You can email me prosthetic_head72@yahoo.com or IM me prosthetichead72. Thank you!

I would say that you should work on practicing other peoples and bands songs first, the fellow band members need to get better at playing in general before they try to play new stuff....cover some cool punk songs(easy chords u know...) and begin to get the "feel" of the band and then throw in some **** you wrote yourself....

a song should have words and a beat first. than guitar. than bass and drums. it helps if the lyricyst knows basic guitar as well.

just make up chord progressions that sound cool and then throw some bullsh*t notes in between the chords. then make an intro using notes from those chords, write a chorus, then youre pretty much done. after a while youll start to get better at making it flow. if you wanna talk IM me my sn is ascreamissilence.

maybe I can wait in bed 'til she comes home. and whispers....
