First of all ih8goths, u listed on punk band. Good job. The others are merely what punk banbs are to the masses. Some ppl on this site dont know what punk is, thats ok but im going to correct you, there is nothing wrong with ignorance unless its intentional. Actual punk bands are: Social Distortion, Black Flag, Misfits, Sex Pistols, T.S.O.L., The Germs, Dead Boys, Dead Kennedys, and yes Bad Religon is a punk band. So there you go, now u can say u at least no of some actual punk bands. I hope u check these bands out and enjoy.

I don't mean to offend you but there is still some ignorance in you and I am here to correct you, just because you can list a few punk bands that doesnt mean their punk. NO bad religion is not punk, they are not punk . If you wan't to hear pure punk bands these are a few that kick ass

O my god!!!! orgasm and well said!!!!but u missed out afew.....the distillers(new punk rock but still good punk rock) 999's ,bouncing souls,abrasivewheels,rancid etc etc.....but yer...im glad theres people on this forum who actually no what punk is....that is ****ing hard to find!!!!! most people think its green day blink and sum sad ****s think that emo is punk !!!!!!! but yer....i thank you soundgardenrox.....i thank you!!!!

yeah someone was nice. but hey, I dissagree with one thing, and that is what genre are you guys placing the offspring in if not punk? I mean I love them, the genre doesnt change that.... I'm just wondering.

Hey the offsping are a really good band, but I am gona be honest and let you know this before somebody that doesn't know about punk tell you. Offspring is not punk, so yeah your question is now answered.
