Yeah, I kinda agree that it is 'nitpicking', however most of the people who complain about such 'nitpicking' have not made a good effort to listening to a lot of punk bands. Instead of backlashing against this kind of thing, people should go out and listen to some of the other more 'obscure' bands recommended, and see for yourself that it is not easy (or possible) to believe that the bands you mentioned play the same music.

There are plenty of mods, quit complaining. If you want this thread locked, go PM a mod... But dont just spam up the thread with pages and pages of "OMFG WEN WIL THIS THRED B CLOSED FFS!!1"
