(first off, i havent listened to the track)
all i want to say:
Chronic Future are managed (or were, not sure if they still are) by their dad, they got pretty popular, i remember them opening up for my band when they were like 13 years old. Now they play everywhere, been on all sorts of comps, and got a pretty good record deal. Didnt the Hansons father manage them too? Parents can manage their kids band if they know how to do it right, remember the Jackson 5 kids? or Salena? both successfully managed by their parents.

punk bands?

i dont think the genre of the band has anything to do with managing your 14 and 15 year old kids band. Truth is a 14 and 15 year old need help dealing with all the BS that goes along with being in a band..especially a punk band, i know i started playing punk shows at 15. (if they are punk, like i said, i havent listened to them and i wasnt commenting on their music, just their decision to have a parent manage them) which i think is awesome that their parents support them by helping them get gigs and making sure they arent taken advantage of. The fact alone that this person came on a message board to help promote the band shows some sort of seriousness on thier part.

But did you know that the Jackson 5 were actually beaten with a belt by there father if they made the wrong moves in a dance routine, just an insight into micheal.j's 'childhood trauma'. Totally not saying that parent managers in general are like that!

Among the dead are a local band managed by two of the kids mom. She has hookups with all the old big punk guys on the east coast so ther eflying out there to record an album. See having your parents as your manager can pan out.
