Wow. I am surprised. I thought AO was going to be out.

Personally I agree. I love the intensity of Adolescents. "Amoeba" is still classic, as is "Kids of the Black Hole"...

but on the whole, "Living In Darkness" just trumps it, the surf sound, the dark production... songs like "Bloodstains", "Everything Turns Grey", "The Last Goodbye" and "No Such Thing" just get me everytime.

Something about the album just holds my attention anytime I listen to it.

So yeah.

Main difference is that the Adolescents had me within the first listen, it's just a better album overall. It took a while to realize LID was a good album, I don't why, but something about the production just does something to diminish it, it feels overproduced at times and it takes away that 'raw' feeling.

I love LID's production. It's just got this great dark, nihilistic vibe to it that gives it a unique character that most punk albums don't have.

Wow this one is gonna hurt. I have both albums and they get frequent play. I would have to side with The Damned they were very influential in my life. I used to play this album for days on end and it never disappointed. I almost feel like a parent choosing a child but i'll get over it cause I love the Damned.

Nah, I saw the Adolescents a couple of years back at a warped tour, was hooked ever since. I've only heard that Agent Orange after it was mentioned in one of the punk threads, I listened to it on and off, first time in a couple of months that I've given it a listen.

I always listen to the albums posted though, in this case it will be my first time hearing the Stiff Little Fingers album.

The Damned. The Damned's third album was a great example of their Punk edge with some twists and turns that made them stand out. It's a great album filled with dark wit, excellent riffs, and a great showing of their Garage Punk influences which added to their style as they progressed with that album.

Personal reason - It was one of my all time favorite tapes in the car.
Personal Reason 2 - The marquee on the cover connects with the B Movie lover in me.
