What is being "Punk" all about??
 

I realized that theirs alot of arguements going on here about what being punk is all about on the wrong forum so i give you guys this forum to fight on . Thanx! :band: :hphones:

Ook anyway i think being "punk" is the ultimate rebellion rebellion gainst everything. But it doesnt really have to include violence not at all. you can rebll with clothes, sneak out at night, annoy your parents, anything that is obnoxious is "punk" violence isnt obnoxiousness violence is crude, hurtful, thoughtless, and jsut plain mean. Any objections???

i dont think any of these things make a person "punk", what does any of this do besides give people a reason to see the scene as nothing more than a gang of trouble makers?

punk is the ability to go on message boards or meet like minded people who listen to equaly obscure bands as you.

*Lol* ok thats not really what i mean and no i dont think being obnoxious makes you punk i said i dont agree with that on another thread thats just what people think it is violence obnoxiousness and crudity i never said i agreed with that.

First, that is called *being a teenager*.

Second, violence is not confined to specific labels of people. Unprovoked fights involve a wide range of different types of people. {Speaking of stating the obvious...guess it's not so obvious to some people}

Third, and most importantly, this has been discussed way too many times. Whatever you think punk is, it doesn't matter. Live your life the way you see fit, don't steer yourself in a certain direction just because some rock star told you to or whatever punk "ideals" you learned from the internet or off the street.

Fourth, does this site get worse and worse, or is it just me?
