Default Punk and ska

Now, I've listened to a bit of punk and ska over the years, from different eras. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but didn't punk at least partially grow out of 2nd Wave Ska?

By second wave do you mean two-tone? Well either way no punk did not grow out of ska at all.

Punk was baisicallky an established genre by the time ska hit Britain in the 70's. The two genres helped fuel eachother quite a bit, but there not really related.
