Around here there are hardly any punk bands. Our area is mostly metal and its hard to get appreciation as a punk act. There are quite a few places to play, but as I said, it mostly caters to metal. If you drive about an hour, there is a pretty diverse scene with alot of places to watch or perform at.

not even a mile from my house is a sports bar where tons of local punk and rock bands have a chance to play. Minneapolis has a pretty diverse music scene.

Minneapolis has a really fun scene. Theres lots of different stuff going on. Its fun to drive over there and you can go downtown by the triple rock and everywhere you look theres punks. Sewards is about 10 minuites away and extreme noise is around there too. Fun stuff.

Anyway I dont live in Minneapolis and around here the scene is pretty boring. A show 45 mn away every month or so and thats about it. But of course Eau claire is the home of CAH records. Other than that theres lots of under appreciated punk/hardcore bands around WI.

it's pretty much the same for me, actually there isn't any real place to hang out in general. my friend's in a bnd but everyone's travelling for the summer plus there isn't anywhere to practise so, there's almost no chance for me to see any good local bands(if there are any)
