The Sound

So I searched and was surprised to not find a thread on this incredible English band! For those of you who don't already know, The Sound were a post-punk band that came out with their first album 'Jeopardy' in 1980 and went on to release several more before their lead singer unfortunately killed himself. Anyway, are there any other fans? Favorite Sound album?

Aw yeah The Sound are great. Ive only heard their first 4 albums but id probably rank them like this:

From the Lion's Mouth > Jeopardy >> All Fall Down > Heads and Hearts

All them are really good but the first 2 are great. This could be my fav song by them but I can't be sure really

They are a really under rated band. I'd agree From The Lions Mouth is their best album.

I will third From the Lions Mouth as their best album. The missing apostrophe in the title irritates the crap out of me though!

From The Lions Mouth is a very good album. Seems to be a bit of a lost classic, I don't know many who know/like them.

Heard good things about Jeopardy too but haven't listened to it yet.

Definitely check it out when you get the chance. The song I posted up above is from that album and it has other brilliant songs like "Resistance", "Words Fail Me", "Unwritten Law", and "Missiles". Many of their songs are actually supremely catchy and indelibly ingrained into your memory.
