Stranglers, 40 million records and yet still on the toilet circuit?

Usually by this time, you would get out of the Toilet Circuit, my mum says that it isn't bad PR or anything, it's because Hugh Cornwell left, if he was still in, would the band sell over 80 million? And would they be able to get out of the toilet circuit, i've already got a song for them, based on ''Toiler on the Sea'', :band:''Trapped in a Toilet, by the sea, Trapped in a toilet, by the sea''. I still don't get it, some members of the Clash have already moved onto the Theatre Circuit and yet Stranglers only play Toilet Circuit? Wierd.

Im a little confused by the toilet circuit term, do you mean that they are still doing ****ty gigs?

The stranglers are one of my fav groups and im glad to hear they've sold so many albums but they never quite reached the popularity bands like the clash did.

Ive seen more recent YT vids of them playing in ****ty gigs but it doesn't bother me much they never made it big cause i don't feel that's what the group was all about.

I wish their contribution to the genre was more well known but other than that , i think they've had a decent career and they are where they should be, no tragedy here.
