I recently listened to their 1984 album titled Food For Thought.

I was wondering if anyone knew any similar sounding albums from anywhere between 1970-1989 without the usual bands (Sex Pistols, The Clash, etc)

dag nasty, rights of spring, moss icon, fugazi, jawbreaker, one last wish, gorilla biscuits, descendents.... theress lots of newer bands keep that kinda sound alive but updated too.
