tdoc210 08-15-2005 06:57 PM

oh man the buzz****s are awesome i rented a viseo of one of their live performances

<<<>>> 08-16-2005 06:58 PM

out of all the first wave punk bands(Clash,Damned,'Pistols,Ramones)
the Buzz****s were only second to the Clash. The Damned were good on Machine Gun Etiquet, but i friggn'hate the ramones and don't care too much for the pistols.

tdoc210 08-17-2005 12:05 PM

^ i like the pistols buzzc0cks and the clash but sometimes i dont like the ramones either

Spiral Scratch is probably my favorite punk release ever. Buzzc0cks are one of the few bands that lost their lead singer/writer and still ended up outgunning most of their contemporaries, imo.

If you own the original EP...it's worth about 50 quid these days.

WaspStar 05-16-2008 05:41 PM

I'm way too young for that. :)

Do you happen to know how many were pressed? Wasn't it only a thousand or so?

right-track 05-16-2008 05:52 PM

1,000 originally.

EDIT: Spiral Scratch & - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

jackhammer 05-16-2008 06:18 PM

I think Lipstick is probably my fave track. Closely followed by Somethings Gone Wrong Again and Autonomy. OK who has Another Music In A Different kitchen for me?

WaspStar 05-16-2008 07:09 PM

Honestly, apart from Spiral Scratch, I can't pick a favorite. How do you choose only one track?

Love You More
Harmony In My Head
I Believe
I Don't Mind
What Do I Get?
Promises
You Say You Don't Love Me
Orgasm Addict

...and those are just some A-sides from their Maher/Garvey lineup!

Great band. One of my favorites, but tend to get a little repetitive during long listens.

loveissucide 10-15-2009 09:47 AM

Singles Going Steady is one piece of sugary pop goodness after another.

Fantastic band, and possibly my favourite British, bona-fide punk band. This album is an absolute essential;

For reasons such as these;

Oh yes. How many riffs can you fit in two minutes? Buzzcawcks hold the answer

Watched the last episode of Guitar Heroes at the BBC last night the Buzz****s sang Ever Fallen In Love With Someone(You Shouldn't've Fallen In Love With) and were absolutely brill.

I like Magazine better than the Buzzc0cks tbf, Real Life is a great album
The Correct Use of Soap, not so much

But my favorite Buzzc0cks song would have to be Everybody's Happy Nowadays
