^ Yeah I heard they toured the East Coast a lot in the early years (though their only breakthrough in the US was with Always The Sun in 1986, a bland slice of 80s pop imo)

One of my favorite bands to come out of the British pub and punk rock scenes and given they had a keyboardist who indulged in lengthy Wakeman-esque solos that shouldn't surprise anyone.

Their lyrics are *ahem* provocative to say the least so they're not a band I'm comfortable listening to around company, good thing I'm a loner lol.

I'm very fond of The Raven in particular because duh it's as prog rock as they ever got, the closing track Genetix is so bonkers I love it, it sounds like Battles decades before they were a thing.

It shouldn't work but it does somehow... The bassist is one of the greatest ever IMO. But my favorite element of all is Hugh's voice

My fave is The Gospel... but Raven and Black and White are close behind. The first two are great too.

Genetix... one of the great songs of the postpunk era

No lip-synching or miming here; just four musicians in masterful control of their instruments.
