I agree; Jello's losing a little steam but GSOM is still absolutely amazing live, I saw them in Sac not too long ago.

My favorite album will always be Frankenchrist. If not for the album itself, for the sweet-ass HR Giger print that it comes with.

I love the Dead kennedys. They have been one of the most influential bands to me since I got into punk and hardcore. Bedtime for democracy is one of my favorite albums. Absolutely amazing band

weren't they playing reunion shows a few years ago? except without Jello Biafra, with that Jeff Penalty guy on vocals. I'm sure I remember that, they could well still be playing for all I know. That said, DK without Biafra is just ridiculous, he IS the band to a large extent. I highly doubt the original lineup will ever get back together though.

i remember hearing something about them getting together with Brandon Cruz of Dr. Know on vocals a couple years back...but honestly can't remember if it ever actually happened

i have to agree that the idea of reuniting without Jello is just ridiculous

Yeah, they did tours up until last year I think, they all decided to take a break.

They're doing more shows in October. I don't know if they're with Brandon or not, but it's not like they miraculously reunited with Jello.

I have to say I'm not remotely interested in seeing the Dead Kennedys without Jello, although it'd be good to see East Bay Ray kick oot the jams. But nah.

I won't say Jello made the band, but without him, it's just not the same. It's like the Misfits with Danzig, it just seems wrong.

Jello for president! Guantanomo was amazing - especially the song "Terror of tiny town". My favorite Dead Kennedys record is probably Frankenchrist and my favorite spoken word is "High Priest of Harmful matter". I can't get over how funny he makes his court case seem.

They kicked Jello out of the band, so, they could sell out the corporations, and Jello would not allow that.

Now, The Dead Kennedys have sold out, and put Holiday in Cambodia on guitar hero, which Jello Biafra would never have stood for.

Jello Biafra did everything; he wrote all of the songs, sung them, and made them funny, and what do the rest of the band do; kick him out of the band, take his band, steal the rights to the songs he wrote, and take all his money; they are extremly selfish.
