There has to be a bigger standard for hip-hop than that. Soulja Boy's music reflects dance music, and there's no problem with that besides the fact that it's classified as hip-hop.

On the occasions when he does speak extendedly and supplies verse, I suppose you can classify him as hip-hop. But on songs like 'Crank Dat', it's the bare minimum of all of the qualities of hip-hop. To me, he just borders on trying to be too accessible and puts bare amounts of effort into anything.

You can dislike Lil' Wayne, but it doesn't make him one of the worst rappers of all time. He's certainly tolerable.

lil wayne is more overhyped than anything. At least he puts effort into his own music.
