Eh, I'm iffy on the whole issue. I think it represents more of a geographic location/lifestyle than it does racism nowadays, but I understand where some come from.

But the confederacy stood for more than just slavery. It could be that she wishes to display or advocate those ideals while rejecting the idealism involved with slavery.
