Pretty Toney is my favourite Ghost album. Prefer it to either SC or Ironman.

Why the fuck have rappers got to put so many skits onto their albums? They're not funny. Does my tits in.

All he does is talk about murdering people (big man) and referring to himself as his superhero alter ego. (Who, I don't think anyone on this planet actually acknowledges him as)
Had this been 1996, this could have flown. But I expect better. We deserve better.

Pretty Toney's tight, but I think as far as modern Ghost goes I would take Fishscale over it. It's not as rambunctious but has a harder punch, and really doesn't get bogged down by its length (though PT is definitely more concise).

I'm surprised by all the flack this new project's getting. I haven't heard the whole thing but the couple of tracks I heard sounded pretty rad, the production being kinda different in a good way for the guy. I know expectations are high though. WU BLOCK was fun but definitely not among his bestest efforts (i do emphasize the fun though it made me ****).

It's supposed to be a concept album based off of a comic with the same name but if you aren't into it then I guess that point doesn't matter.

It does come off as a half ass story to me though I have to listen to it again to catch everything but even though it's only 12 tracks. He probably could've cut it down to about 8 or so and it would have been slightly better.

It just strikes me as an album made for the sake of it in all honesty, just recycling old material.

@Fluffykitten: PT is pretty good but Tush brings it down a bit for me.

Personally, I love Adriane Younge's production on Ghost's new project. It's all mostly live instrumentation and I think it complements Ghost well. The storytelling is a little linear, but it's good and most of Ghost's verses sound invigorated, inspired, and rambunctious. My only complaint is that maybe the album is a bit short. I'd say this is probably his best album since "Fishscale".

Not about the comic specifically but the story is there however uninteresting you may find it.

The story wasn't even that bad. It was a little cheesy and comic book like, but so wasn't the original Wu-Tang debut. That's why we loved them (or at least why I loved them). They were like ultra violent rap-superheroes!

I think Ghostface always leaned the most toward Comix, much like DOOM does. Hes the only one that refers to himself as some superhero alias as far as I can remember, or at least an existing superhero, besides DOOM.
