I feel DOOM does it better, although I'd rather they both stuck to actually rapping rather than the constant super hero cutaways.
Honestly, I can't imagine other than their self inflated egos who that appeals to. I hate cutaways and skits in rap albums!

Pretty sure some of the Wu members had super hero alter-egos. I know Method Man has referred/been referred to multiple times as Johnny Blaze aka Ghost Rider.

I like the small little sections, five seconds or so to make a plot transition, like the actual show excerpts. DOOM does the whole dialog collage too though, which is wayyy radder.

I'm listening now, about halfway through now, and I really love the sound and how it goes with Ghost, but he's definitely not as on point as usual (though it's still pretty hot). "Center of Attraction" is pretty raaad. I'll definitely need to listen more but i hope they do this again, and Ghost realllly brings it.

You mean you hope they do another album with a similar concept?

Personally, I think the latter half of the album's lyrics full of gruesome details of Ghostface's killings were a joy to listen to! Total flashbacks to the 36 chambers era ghost.

Mainly the pairing, for the sound. I did like the concept at least on paper. I'll need to listen again to see how it came across in the lyrics, I know RZA was there to move the story along as well but the lyrics still have to do their part.

Yeah, RZA actually executively produced this whole thing and it shows. The sound is cohesive and guided and sounds amazing as a whole. This is probably the most cohesive album Ghost has ever put out, both in content and in sound.

What's everyone's favourite Ghostface album?

Supreme Clientele/Pretty Toney for me so far. Everyone used to tell me that Ironman was his best but when I listened to it I couldn't get into it. It's weird cos Ironman is very 'Wu' and the reasons I like Wu Tang are on Ironman but I prefer Ghost over the kind of beats on those two albums I mentioned.

I've got Bulletproof Wallets to listen to next.
