Jay Z - American Gangster
This is one of the best albums to come out in 2007
|
not tha best but it was ok
|
I liked "Roc Boys (And the Winner Is...)." Was a lot classier than most artists coming out now and the saxophone just put the "New York" in the song.
|
One of the best albums of 2007? No way. One of the best mainstream rap releases, yes (not much competition though).
There's not much on it really worth holding onto though. I just got through deleting everything save two songs. The rhymes aren't particularly good, interesting or inspiring. The sampling, well, I'll just listen to the originals instead. Sorted. |
i think its hard for jay z to make new material i mean its good but everybody already heard him sound so much better. he will new be able to top his previous works that my opinion but still a good album
|
yeah, you're right.
actually, i laud praise over jay-z. why? because he's introduced me to a bunch of music that actually matters through his sampling. who cares that the rhymes and rapping was sh.ite? i'm now musically richer for finding the influences. |
He needs to learn that people retire for a reason.

Album was pretty boring, and not even Lil' Wayne could save that disaster called Hello Brooklyn 2.0
