Not the best rapper out there, but by FAR the most interesting. His new album, The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust, got released towards the end of October and is easily one of the best albums of the year.

Tracks to look for:

Break
Sunday Bloody Sunday
Black History Month
List of Demands (Reperations)
Act III Scene 2
African Student Movement

This guy is pretty much where it's at.

With all the "omigod he's releasing it like Radiohead" mega-hype it got, I can't believe how little credit it's been getting for awesomeness.

NiggyTardust is my favorite track.

Every song on his new album is great. I was quite impressed with the U2 Cover.

Also lets not forget one major point to this album. He worked with Trent Reznor on it. If u listen u can def hear the NIN influence. I still havent gotten it myself.

If you haven't read his books... you need to. Some of the best reading there is out there. Very few people can write like he can.

I'm not really that into Rap or Hip-Hop but this is an artist that doesn't sound similar to anything else I've heard. I like some of what this guy puts out, but I was curious what people who actually know something about Rap/Hip-Hop think about him. Definitely something different for me.

Here's some samples:

There's probably a thread on him already. But regardless, I like Saul but he can irritate me. While I generally appreciate his poetic lyrical style, he often careers into the pretentious. Amethyst Rock Star and the s/t are quite super though.
