I'd check out From Filthy Tongue of Gods and Griots next. That album is about tied with Absence for favorite Dalek album status with me.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh thank you!

Experimental rap, its about time. Definately checking this out. I've had so much trouble finding rap/hip-hop with experimentation in it. Sure, many rappers blend genres, but not enough of them experiment with noise or dissonance. The only other rappers I know of that are more experimental are cLOUDDEAD and maybe Aesop Rock (although his work isn't really 'experimental' but it does blend genres and styles to create an oringal sound).

Hmm, I seem to like Abandoned Language more than Absence. When is the new one coming out anyways? I'd love to give that a listen. Haven't listened to these guys in quite a while now. Think I'll get some of the earlier stuff till then.

Gutter Tactics is stellar. Very dark and trippy.

I'm giving it a spin now. Dark and trippy, as you say. Very left-of-centre too - I like what I'm hearing

Got a hold of it and it's very fresh. Haven't got a clue what the dude's saying but it doesn't put me off, it's nice to hear something this original. 2009's off to a good start!
