Yeah! This album is for sure badass.. with all the crummy hip hop comin out these days it is very very refreshing!

Damn, recently Murs has been heavy in rotation. I don't know why, but for some reason I never really gave his solo stuff very much attention (despite being a Felt and LL fan). Was given "Murs For President" a while ago and only recently got around to listening to it. I'm very satisfied. Looking at his body of work - from 3:16, Murray's Revenge, Murs For President, plus Felt and LL - he really should be in my top 10 favorite artists, even though I've barely acknowledged him.

The gods may bless you with a sign in the future!
The album is fantastic. Better than the other two Felt albums, for sure. |
Funny, you said there'd be a sign and then- praise Allah- something surely did happen and I have my hands on it now. Weird. :)
Can't wait to peep this. |
Yo Kirb I would really appreciate it if you or Jesus or whoever kicked Felt my way, too.
As far as Murs goes, man, I really don't know. He's like Jedi Mind with me, so hit or miss. I honestly have to be in the mood to listen to him or it just doesn't hit me. And when I don't like him, his stuff sounds like unorignial borishness. When I am in to him I think he is extremely creative with just about every aspect of his music. Same thing happens with Turbonegro when I listen to them. |
Well, a month ago I'm in the same boat as you. Something clicked recently, though. On a song-by-song basis I don't think he rips it up, but when you lump 20-30 good tracks together it's there for me.

He's definitely one of the artists that you get into more if you listen to a whole album or two.

Weird, I was about to search for a thread but it was already on the first page. I know absolutely nothing about him, except that I feel like I heard his name in conjunction with Atmosphere and Aesop Rock and my friend left a Murs cd in my car the other day so I popped it in on the way to work today. Holy ****. He's got a pretty sick flow and some decent songs, not sure what album but it was good. So is Felt 3 the one with Aesop and Slug?
