G-Unit

Anyone think that the Unit might make anymore Good albums

Kirby 12-30-2008 08:05 AM

My vote goes for "No they suck and need to stop rapping."

The best person in G-Unit was Young Buck, who I don't even like that much, and he left.

simplephysics 12-30-2008 02:46 PM

I find it hard to take them seriously.

My President Is Black 12-31-2008 05:24 AM

Personally I like them But I think they need to focus less on mixtapes and more on albums but i can see why its hard to take them seriously.

FaSho 01-03-2009 10:23 AM

The only good member of G-Unit was 50 Cent, and that's saying something.

Agreed for sure, Ive always liked The Game, I cant stop listening to the song "money" off his album LAX right now, I love the lyrics in that song, but as far as G Unit goes 50, Buck, and Banks are terrible rappers IMO I cant stand listening to any of them, so as for the original question, no, I dont think they should make another album, nor do I think they should have made any albums in the first place.

Lilith 08-01-2009 06:05 AM

I don't like them at all. They had some "alright" songs, but in the end it was sonly about Fiddy. Just like it was with 2Pac and the Outlawz.... okay G-Unit is better than the Outlawz in my opinion (taken away the front members of course) but still.... not for me, thanks.

50 gets lazy and you can tell. sometimes he comes out with something decent then other times he just lets himself go.

I think Banks was the best one out of G-Unit. It was all about his wordplay...he is the best lyricist that G-Unit has.

I didnt mind him when he put out 'Get Rich or Die Tryin'' but everything after that wasnt very good, he seems like he tries way too hard, and IMO he doesnt seem like himself, kinda like hes puttin on a show ya know?

djchameleon 08-03-2009 03:08 PM

you are right but I'm really like 50's new track, "Ok , you're right" The music video is on point. I have to find out the movie that he takes the clown robbery scene from.

Schredds 08-03-2009 08:46 PM

I like the music and the beat in the song for sure, but the lyrics are rotten, I just find him so cheesy, I guess I'm more into rap where the lyrics flow into a story and not just flow with the next line and then on to a different topic that had nothing to do with the topic before hand, all he talks about is money and cars and jewelry and all that **** that 100 other rappers do every day.

kouki 08-03-2009 09:14 PM

I have to agree with Schredds. I hate when all they rap about is money, clothes and all that.I like to hear music that I can relate to,I dont wanna hear about how much money they have and I dont.

You both make valid points, but is that really why you dont like it? I mean how much rock do you listen to wherre you cant relate in the slightest to what there talking about. My guess is not much unless your secretly a rock star posting on MB.

Thats is really why I dont like it just as I had stated, I dont not like it because I cant relate to it, I dont like it because of the reasons I stated above, hes cheese, hes not original IMO hes just like so many other rappers out there; without talent. And also RezZ, my opinion anyways, dont we relate to all the music we listen to, every person on this board? If we didnt we wouldnt be listening to it, I mean all the music I listen to I relate to or has been a part of my life at some point in my life and has helped me get through some hard times, and good times. I tell you what hasnt got me through any times though, is the G-Unit or 50 cent ;)

G-g-g-g-g UNIT!

They're hardly relevant any more, but there was a time when 50 was the biggest thing in rap music. His debut is excellent. I'd go so far as to say it's a classic of the genre.

But his latest in 2014, Animal Ambition I think it was called, was straight up garbage. One of the worst rap albums I think I've ever heard.
