Rap with awesome beats. Reccomendations? *READ THE POST FIRST*

Now, lets make this clear, seeing as this is the rap forum and I see a lot of people jump the gun on their recommendations without taking into account whats actually being asked.

I like rap, despite all appearances.

I'm looking for some rap with serious beats. A great rapper on top of it is a plus, but for me a lot of rap has goddamn ****ty stale background and I hate that.

Here's examples of the kind of stuff I'm thinking of:

Busta Rhymes - Break Ya Neck/Woo Hah!
Roots Manuva - Join The Dots/Witness (One Hope)
Beastie boys - Intergalactic
Eminem - Remember Me?/Amityville (Actually, a lot of eminem would count)
Canibus - Curriculum 101 (Production on this one is sub-par, but the ideas in the beat and accompaniment are great)
DJ Yoda - Chatterbox(Ft.Sway)

From my interpretation of your post you're looking for hip hop artists with "harder" beats. Beats that coincide with the catchy hooks you hear on the radio. If that be the case then I would highly recommend Immortal Technique , Hochii, Jedi Mind Tricks, and Chino XL

I think Pobody came up with a pretty good analysis of what you like.

Company Flow has hard, aggressive (and brilliant) beats, but they're fairly atypical and not for everyone, especially when coupled with the vocal delivery.

Just give that a quick listen, if it appeals to you grab Funcrusher Plus. If you are on the verge of liking that, EL-P gets more accessible later in his career so you could check out one of his solo albums.

Maybe some Cypress Hill or Sole might work well for you as well. Although, like CoFLow Sole is a little lacking in the hook department.

Agreed, for what's being asked for, I would specifically say "A Vietnam Story" has a beat that hits hard as fuck with the right speakers. Headphones preferably.

Maaan, I dunno.. WHAT? What... yeah man I'm the most vicious, most brutal, most ruthless champion there's ever been.

Murs - Lookin' Fly

Mad props to Will.I.Am for this beat. I love that he uses flight of the bumblebee in it.

Fort Minor's In Stereo Petrified had a pretty sick beat also.

Three 6 mafia actually comes up with some awesome beats too. I didn't pick up Last 2 walk last year but I just discovered it like two months ago and I've been playing it ever since.

Look up That's Right, Playstation, Corner Man, On some chrome and click bang.
To me they are more like producer rappers so don't expect greatness in their lyrics. They are better producers than rappers and plus they are from the south so that's two strikes against them lyric-wise

The Neptunes provided Clipse with some pretty good beats on Hell hath no fury. Check that one out also.

Oh I almost forgot about The Cool Kids. You either like their beats or you don't I've come to find out. I like them though.

I would also recommend edIT. He's more glitch-hop, but he has some heavy ass beats and gets some really good MC's to lend their talent to his songs. I'll post a link to one of my favorite songs of his and if you like that I have the album uploaded and can send it to you if you want (This is an open invitation by the way)

basically anything El-P is responsible for is the tits (which is pretty much all of Definitive Jux, lol). Cannibal Ox's The Cold Vein is insanely dense.
