For it's place in history it's a noble effort, but something about it just screams "look at me I'm rappin' over jazz" I don't think Guru is really the best MC for that type of album. I enjoy him much better with Gang Starr.this is good too, i know lee likes it:

Fantastic album!

We don't post links in the forum to downloads, usually because it's illegal and can implicate the site which could result in it's termination. I will send you a link for Artofficial though through a PM.

Casual Rejects have a slight Jazzy feel to them and you might like Marxman too.

Jazz Rap is what originally got me into hip-hop/rap in general. Never heard of Artofficial, but I'm really loving that track you posted, I'll have to check them out. If anybody wants to PM me one of their albums, it would be greatly appreciated.

I can hook you up with Artoffical.

Here's a new group I found the other day in a hip hop blog, great sound, a bit harder than Kenichiro Nishihara and Nujabes but just as jazzy.

Cradle Orchestra

This is possibly my favourite type of Hip-Hop. Perfect chill out music to listen to just as you're drifting off. I need more though. Apart from the artists already mentioned in this thread (much of it I already have) what other Jazz rap is out there for me to gorge on?

I'd recommend:

The Blend - After What Came Before (2005) (More jazzy rock orientated but still quite enjoyable.)
Audible Mainframe - Framework (2004)
WarsawpacK - Gross Domestic Product (2001)
ArtOfficial - Fist Fights and Foot Races (2008)
Animate Objects - Riding In Fast Cars For Your Mamma (2007)
Collective Efforts - Freezing World (2010)
Jazz Addixx - Oxygen
Abstract Giants - A Grow Culture (2007)
G Band Free - Backwards Crown (2004)
The Roots - Things Fall Apart
Restoring Poetry in Music - Pyramids in Moscow
Nujabes - Metaphorical Music & Modal Soul
Kenichiro Nishihara - Humming Jazz

I know I've got more recommendations, but those are the ones that come to mind at first, plus it gives you plenty to listen to. LMK via PM if you need help finding any of them.

To add to Loathsomepete's suggestions:

It's a booming genre. There's tons of stuff out there.
