Big L

I don't see any threads on him, so I wanted to start one.

I think big L was, no hyperbole intended, the best rapper thats ever spit a flow. He was amazing at freestyles and had one of the smoothest deliveries and intricate, clever rhymes. If he were still alive today he'd own the game, punkass Jay-Z doesnt even rep him anymore which is why ill never respect the guy. Gangstarr is the only one who was close with big L that still gives respect to him, (unlike Fat Joe, Jay-Z and Cam'ron) he even did a song with Tupac that was amazing.

Any other Big L fans/ people who agree that he doesn't nearly get the credit he deserves?

Depends on who you talk to, or are talking about. Of course amongst more casual fans he's going to be underrated. Let's face it, he never had a "hit."

Amongst the krylon and backpack crowd, he's a legend and arguably a little overrated. This type of thing exists in all genres of music.

Ive listened to Big L for about 2 years now, after listening to every one of his songs/freestyles, i still feel as though hes the best lyricist to touch a mic

Pretty much sums him up perfect. Also lol at the person in the first post referring to Gangstarr as a person.

I agree with this. But I still love Big L. Lifestylez Ov Da Poor And Dangerous and The Big Picture are freaking awesome albums. Both of which are in constant spin for me.
