Default Murs For President

So, this CD actually has been premiered on Myspace a couple days after I pre-ordered it.

I'm VERY proud to say that pre-ordering was a smart choice.
Anyone that is into Underground Hip-Hop/Rap should definitely give the album a listen.

To me, it's a breath of fresh air for the genre. The whole thing is listenable, and I didn't skip one track.

This is definitely in the Top 5 of 2008, for me.

Do yourself a favor, and check it out.
You will definitely not be disappointed.

Thanks for your time.

It's sounding very solid on a first listen through. The intro runs a bit too long but that hardly matters.

When I listen to it a bit more I'll give a better response.

Haha, most definitely.
I wonder what he would do, as President?

Overall it's a solid album, but let down by inconsistency. There are a number of fun and catchy tracks, especially the early trio of The Science, Can it Be and Everything. But there are also a bunch of lacklustre tracks that don't do anything for me, the production on Lookin Fly is annoying and Think You Know Me is just flat and lifeless.

Murs' songwriting stays reasonable throughout and it's nice to see him keep a consistently positive theme. My only issue is that he packs the tail end of the album with too many songs based on break ups and they kinda blur into one.

Yeah. He was talking about that during the concert I went to.
He said while writing, he had recently broken up with this chick, or something.

The Will.i.am song was crap. Other than that its a pretty solid album. Not as good as Murs 3:16: The 9th edition.

Not his best, but definitely better than most of the stuff out right now.
