Lupe has so many stories but I didn't want to mention The Cool storyline again. Even though it's my favorite one.








Chamillionaire has a couple of stories but this is my favorite. People need to stop sleeping on Cham he's really really good.

lol it's a classic if I listened to Aesop. I don't so I don't know it.

Well, yeah, pretty much.

I've heard a lot about him but I've never actually bothered to check out his music. I'm not the biggest fan of 80's rap so I don't know if I'd like him but what would be a good album of his to get?

You should get The Great Adventures of Slick Rick and The Art of Storytelling.

It's kind of hard to find a version of this song that doesn't have that unnecessary intro, is not censored, and doesn't get cut off at the last couple of seconds but this is a pretty good song.

That was the first time I've listened to Aesop Rock

Don't really understand why everyone seems to love him.

Aesop Rock isn't exactly the easiest artist to get into. It took me a few listens to click.

why though?

why would you torture yourself listening to an artist you don't like to force yourself into liking them?

I never understand when people do that.

Of course I didn't force myself, I just gave it a chance occasionally until it grew on me. A lot of music takes multiple listens.

I disagree with that....if I don't like it , it doesn't grow on me.

It's very true that sometimes it takes time for the artist's aesthetic to click to the audience; approaching things from unexpected perspectives is a healthy exercise, and can arouse all sorts of new ideas.

Absolute classic, this was the song that made me fall in love with BIG's music. His flow on this was immense, and the beat is legendary

I definitely agree with this, if you approach thing with an open mind, sometimes a change of perspective is all thats needed. If you approach with a closed mind, it won't matter if you approach it differently because you already have a preconceived notion that you won't accept the idea.

Back to Aesop Rock, I didn't use to like him at all either. One of my friends was an avid listner, and he slowly grew on me. I'm still not a massive advocate, but there are allot of his songs that I do like/love. Infact, I really like all of Labour Days.

And as for Aesop Rock, I hear what you're saying about listening to an artist more than once to appreciate them, there are artists I didn't really like at first but now love, but with Aesop Rock, I really don't have the motivation to attempt to listen to him anymore.

Haha, fair enough, maybe one day he'll grow on you. El-P is another artists, that I hated when I first heard him, I'm still not a massive fan.

The story in this song is insane. Always been a favorite.
