Do your parents like rap music?
 

Growing up did your folks play rap so thats how you got into it.My parents played almost every kind of music but rap maybe on occasions.

My parents like hip hop, and they probably played a bit of it when I was a kid. But we're talking like party stuff mostly. Although I know my mom liked Biggie.

I'm told I really liked Sinatra when I was a baby and they'd play him instead of the Mozart CDs they make for babies.

Neither of my parents hate rap, but neither of them like it either. I got into rap mostly through my friends.

Heh. My parents were born in the 40s, they definitely didn't get me into rap.

Are you a parent asking? Because not many "youngsters" call it "rap music."

My mum doesnt mind some of the stuff I listen to, aka she is too polite to tell me that she hates it lol.

No, they don't like rap. I started listening to it because all my friends were.

Some, like the really old ****. Public enemy and de la soul.

Heh. Public Enemy and De La Soul are definitely not what I think of when I hear the phrase "the really old shit".
