because he's up and coming.

His next album is going to be a Shady Records Production.

Big Boi and loads of other southern rappers are backing him like he's one of the next big things. I really like him though, mostly for the whole speed rapping thing but just the way he sounds also speed rapping with the country redneck type feel to it. When I first heard him on Big Boi's song, I wasn't feeling him too much but then I heard this album and after hearing "I just wanna party" and "Daddy's Lambo" then I was on board. I also like this song I heard on this XXL Freshman CD.

I don't know if he's still home but he used to be there are numerous articles where he talks about his homelessness

EDIT: here is a video interview where he talks about it.

I listened to this every other day for the first couple of months after I picked it up. Very catchy and a few witty lines. Not for conscious rap snobs. Great beats, great album.

Speaking of great beats, I was a bit shocked to hear by the end of Daddy's Lambo that Drama beats produced that track. Drama from Rob Dyrdek's shows

An evolved version of Limp Bizkit

Yelawolf is a cornball to me. Uninspired boring synth beats or "gucci" knockoffs, and a really bad grunge track with marijuana.

He can mix up his flow, but that's pretty much standard if your trying to be a commercial rapper right now. This dude has been practicing making the right sound ever since the missy elliott reality show.

I don't have that album, but I do have the mixtape which shares most of the songs with it. I really enjoyed it but I think his new album is going to be terrible if he changes the production (I think I heard Eminem is meant to have something to do with it) because the beats on songs like Pop The Trunk and Box Chevy are what makes him so appealing.

his delivery is definitely his strong point, but he's also got a good penchant for hooks too, like "Daddy's Lambo" and "Trunk Muzik". I do find him entertaining in that regard, but i'm not entirely sure if he'd be able to find a real audience to go with, cause he's not deep/complex enough for the indie/underground rap community and i'm not entirely sure he'd be as palpable for mainstream hip-hop.

so yeah he's not a great rapper, but he's got a good ear for hooks and beats, so we'll see what becomes of him. personally, i hope he can find a good place to be in and can see some real success, but i'm not betting all my money on it.
