I actually had a positive introduction to big sean. I liked the first song i ever heard by him, and thought it was fun catchy tune and he brought multiple flows and whatnot

But he's dumbed down his sound so ****ing much. He sounds a little too cute and drake wanna be

Really pay attention when you listen to this song. He rhymes with the same word like 10 times and all the other rhymes were simple one syllable kids stuff man

all this **** music is ruining my high lol

I didn't listen to all of the first song because I want to lay down but those two songs that are posted are just catchy songs for the radio, I don't think his album is going to be full of radio singles/tracks. No one really does that.

I'm getting his album when it comes out next week

I haven't heard much but "My Last" is like motivation music for me. It's catchy and not that serious. I haven't even paid much attention to the lyrics of that song to see that they aren't that great. It's a throw-away type of song imo.

I'll let you wait til tomorrow to do anymore since this shitty music is fucking up your buzz

I agree, but with that in mind don't you notice any discrepancy between those two?

And it's clear that you don't value lyricism too highly or you wouldn't be fond of this guy either.

I value lyricism but it's always a second thought in my mind.

When I first hear a song , I listen mostly for the production/beats then I listen to see how likable it is as far as radio play material then I go back and listen to the lyrics.

I appreciate songs when I hear good lyricism but it just doesn't stand out to me at first.

I honestly don't have any real criticism with the guy, he just seems like one of those rappers who appears on the song as filler, never really adding any value. Has anyone ever actually heard a jadakiss solo single in the past decade?

TBH i know next to nothing about jadakiss :) I just say "**** jadakiss" because his inclusion is unnecessary in every song he's on.

Can't wait to get flack from the one jadakiss fan on the internet...

I remember this song being pretty big when it came out sometime in the early to mid 2000's.

Yes the video is incredibly corny.

I found some more Big Sean singles and he definitely subscribes to the rhyming mother****er with mother****er news letter

I liked the quagmire line in this one though

This song shows his true potential lyrically I believe and if his tracks on his album are more like this then I could get behind him but for now he's kind of meh.

I wouldn't say **** him but he's just meh to me.

He's completely one-dimensional. He did change up his sound a lot from what he was like real early on, so kudo's for that i guess, otherwise his stoner anthems bore the **** out me

I liked the how fly tape he did with currensy mainly because they work togethor pretty well, but it didn't get too many plays.

Plies
This guy is music for retarded people. I'm dead serious. I hate his southern drawl, it's so ****ing annoying to listen to. A necessary part of being good at rapping is the ability to flow and this guy (bless his heart) is not capable of doing that.

This is his "real" music, the stuff not intended for radio play and omfg it makes me wanna kill myself.

Plies represents that annoying ghetto mutha****er who has to start **** on the bus and make me late. This dude makes Trick Daddy seem like Rakim by comparison.
Seriously i feel like plies music is self-explanatory, i shouldn't even be trying to articulate why this dude sucks dick

I remember a guy who said that when Plies rapped, he would rhyme desk with computer. And i remember a girl who said when she heard Plies' songs, she would get the image of Golem from LOTR ripping a fish apart with his teeth. I fully agree with both statements; sadly, Becky and Plenty Money are on my iTunes.

pity me.

I think you just like anything that can have the top 40 or hip hop label put on it djchameleon. Still not hating though, each to their own.

lol Plenty Money is the only song from him that I tolerate.

Plies reminds me so much of Juvenile but Plies has a slightly better flow because at least he can rap on beat but that's not saying much.

I never liked Plies
