Klub des Loosers - La fin de l'espèce

Not heard about these guys before today, but I have always though the French accent is one of, if not the best, for Hip Hop music. I think they have been going for quite some time (10+ years) but I obviously can't comment on any of their precious work (although I will check it out).

On this album: I am three tracks in and I love how it sounds. Really cool and laud back, but slightly unnerving at the same time.

Check it out.

i discovered them recently too, after reading an article on Les inrocks, a french paper. They are clearly one of the most interesting rap band of the actual french stage (which is full of crap's gangsta bands). You can give a look on odezenne or stupeflip too. I posted a message on the recommendation thread here.

Um, that's not a French accent. They're actually speaking French.

I basically agree about French rappers (and their "accent") though because the language lends itself to smooth sounds, which is good for rap. I don't think Klub des Loosers sound all that smooth though. They sound like they're trying too hard to sound hard and messing up the natural aural beauty of their language a little bit.

MC Solaar is the first French rapper I ever heard and, for me, he set the bar pretty high a long time ago. Oh so smooth

Actually it is an accent. But yeah, after listening to the whole thing I agree that they aren't "smooth", but I didn't mind that. Quite a chaotic album at times.

Technically you're correct but it would be quite strange if a French guy from France whose native language is French rapped in a different accent than the French one.
Anyway, I think the song you posted isn't bad at all but I don't think the French accent adds anything to it. It sounds kind of ugly, which is also good for rap.

Sampled Serge Gainsbourg? I like him already.

Man, these French dudes have huge collectives. I read that the "Klub des 7" stems from ATK, which originally had 24 members. **** is sick.
